Noises problem

The noise is hard to explain. When I turn on the car I do not hear it, but as soon as I press the gas it makes a sort of high pitch whistling noise. The harder I press the gas the faster or higher the sound sounds. If I have the car in park it will still make the sound when I press the gas.
