2007 Chevy Cobalt At first it would sputter at acceleration

My cobalt after it gets warm will sputter a bit, now my wife has just called and said the idol is surging and the temperature is raising and lowering(196 up to 200) and at at stop sign the idol surged and it then stalled (restart was okay.)
I blew out the air filter yesterday it was really dirty,
I know that needs changed
WHAT else is going on?

Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and also test the TPS and MAP sensors to include a fuel pressure check and also the EGR and PCV valves.
