The button on my shifter that releases it into gear had stuck "in," therefore causing my ignition to lock up in the ACC position and would not release my key. After messing with it for a few minutes, the button popped out and finally, so did my key. This is not the first time it has happened; I had to have the shifter replaced in the first year I had the car when it did this same thing. What is causing this and what can I do?
