Heater fan stopped working?

Fan is on pass side behind glove box. Before you remove check fuses and test for power to motor if non then switch could be bad.Does it work on high if so resistor maybe bad.

I have checked blower, relays, switches and all are good. I have looked and noticed that the HTR fuse is missing a prong for the fuse and need to trace the wire so I can just put in a in-line fuse. If somebody knows the 2 colors for that exact fuse that would be great. With winter right around the corner I need the heat. Thanks for your time if you can help.

The power goes from the fuse to the heater switch and then to the resistor before it gets to the blower motor.

I attached the wiring diagram for you to view. You will need to test for power to the blower switch and resistor. Check the orange wire at the resistor for power.

The hot on the blower is purple. I tested the blower at 12v and each relay and all functioned properly. It's the fuse board that is missing 1 of the prongs for the fuse blades to go into it. Is there away to hook up to a toggle for blower and still get heat? And it is the digital control module. Instead of the slide controls.

You could run a wire from the battery to your switch and off to the blower motor.

You would need a 12 gauge wire, 30 amp inline fuse for protection and a switch capable of handling the 30 amp load.

Thanks a lot. Now with manually running a switch it will still warm up like normal right? And would the low, medium, and high settings work or would it be on high constant?

It will only have high speed.

Heater problem
1992 Chevy Cheyenne 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Blower motor wont turn on.Have replaced the motor,resistor,the switch,and the fuse and still no blower motor.I cant locate or know if there is a blower motor relay if that is the cause. The pickup has no A/C heat only.

How does one check the fuse circuit? I have no power to the fuse that i can tell using a Fluk 80 mutlimeter.
But upon checking i have no power to the windshield wipers yet they work. What voltage should i have at the fuse anyway?

I have continuity from the fuse to the blower motor.
The fuse is good too have continuity across the fuse .
It almost acts like there is no power to the fuse box.

So I have replaced everything in the wiring diagram provided by JDL and still no blower motor. What could be causing it to get no power to the fuse box?

Any fuse you check, did you use a voltage tester on the fuse circuit? Even if the fuse is good, if there is no voltage, the circuit is dead.
