Steering problem
1998 Chevy Cheyenne V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

no power steering.after unplugging the electromagnetic coil on the pressure outlet on the pump, it works fine. what has this coil energized?

Electronic steering system is self diagnostic have computer scanned for codes then post will advise. Could be one of several components.
