Peek under the front of the hood where the latch is located. You may be able to loosen the latch bolts, either on the hood side or the core support side, or use a pair of pliers to pull on the cable or the cable bracket next to the latch, or screwdriver to pry the latch open. Patience will be rewarded, it can be done, and usually its pretty easy.
