How can the removal of the catalytic affect my car? I have removed it because it was plugged up and it seems that it hasn't affected the performance. Have I done the right thing? I'm still working on my EMC problem but the removal of the cat has given the car maybe a bit of a boost. What do you think?

Be aware that you have reduced the back pressure on the engine and could burn an exhaust valve over time, also car may tend to run cooler and result in an incorrect fuel mix.

I've seen many kids take off their CAT from their cars and they have told me that it hasn't affected the performance . But I guess that your right. I live in Puerto Rico so maybe , since it's so hot here, it doesn't affect the engine running cool as you say. Well, anyway, I really appreciate your advice. Hope to get another response from someone else and maybe get a little more info. Thank's a MILLION from sunny Puerto Rico, George.
