A buddy of mine has an 88 Celebrity that im trying to get running for him. Initially he has no spark, My first bet was the CPS Crank Sensor, i located it and broke it off in there...whoops. I know to take a screw to pull it out wich is no problem but its a tight space to do it, can i pull the pan and get her out that way? I have power to the coils and have not checked the Module underneath the coils thats next after i get the new sensor in. How do i go about scanning the codes with a paperclip on the computer? Is there any other way i can check this thing out, please, i need a lot of advice on this car job. Is there a way i can jump the sensor plug to see if i can get a momentary spark? I may have to pull the exhaust manifold to access the sensor to screw into it and pull it out. How complicated will that be? Has fuel but no spark, owner says it sputtered to a dead stop on him started again then died. Also can i find a Chevy code index anyywhere to help me when i scan the codes? Thanks. I'd donate money but not sure how it works yet, i'm new to this site.
