replacing spark plug wires

I have a 1997 cavalier, 121,000, 2.2. i was wondering how to get to the back of the motor to change the plug wires? i can just barely reach down through the back opening and touch the side of the distributor. any easier ways? any help at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

best way is from underneath , if you are unsure about the wire # drop one down at a time ,its a pain but it will keep you from getting confused

I own a 91 Cavalier and I jacked the front end up and did it from underneath. Bring a flashlight and do them one at a time so you don't confuse them.

Recheck firing order and make sure all wires are seated well to plug

How do you fix the PO401 code on a 97 Chevy Cavailer? He replaced the Spark plugs, wirers, boot, one coil pack fuel pump and his car is now shoting out code PO401. He was getting PO300 and PO301. He doesn't know what eles to do and asked me to look in to it for him since he doesnt have access to a computer. Thank you

A code P0401 most likely means one or more of the following has happened
There is a blockage in the EGR (tube), most likely carbon buildup
The EGR valve is faulty
The EGR valve may not be opening due to a lack of vaccuum
Possible Solutions
In fixing this code, it is quite common for people to just replace the EGR valve only to have the OBD code return. The EGR valve is not always the culprit.
Use a vacuum pump and pull the EGR valve open while monitoring engine RPM's,There should be a noticeable difference in RPM's with the EGR open
Clean out the EGR valve and/or tubing to remove deposits
