99chevy cavalier, 55000 miles,,,, 2.4 liter
this last week, 4 or 5 times , the car has not wanted to start. sometimes it starts for a second then dies. after trying to start it several times, it will start and run fine. it doesnt miss or cut out while driving or anything. it might start ok for a couple of days then you get ready to start it again the next day or even after being shut off for just a few minutes and it will not crank. i dont think it is the fuel pump, i can hear it running when i turn the key on and it runs fine once it is started. does this sound like the fuel filter to you? it has been less than a year since the fuel filter was changed.
