I have 99 cavalier with a 2.2 engine. My 2 side brake lights do not work, but my third one does. I have checked the sockets and they are fine. I do not have any voltage at either socket when I press on the brakes. I removed the socket to test the pins and get the same results. The turn signal works fine. I am thinking the turn switch in the column. Is there something I can check or replace?

Try testing the brake switch at the pedal it has to go thru there in order to make it back there.
