2003 Chevy Cavalier gearshift lever

The gearshift lever is very loose and feels like it is about to fall off. Makes it very hard to shift from Park to Drive or Reverse. Can it be replaced or what?

Yes it can be replaced, but remove console and inspect it, it may just be a loose hold down bolt.
