What should the fuel pressure be ....one place told us 65 psi another place told us 115...Which is it?

the vehicle was ran dry on fuel and with much attempt (yes it now has fuel) I cannot get it to run, all it will do is start for about 3 seconds and die everytime. I assumed the fuel pump could be bad but I had a helper turn the key on while I listened by the fuel tank. The pump is definatly running. I am now assuming there could be an air lock in the system but Im not sure where I can crack a line and bleed it. your advice would be appreciated. thankyou

Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure Disconnect the fuel feed hose (2) from the fuel rail (5). Install the J 29658-D with the J 29658-500 between the fuel feed hose and fuel rail. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. CAUTION: Refer to Fuel Storage Caution in Service Precautions. Place the bleed hose of the fuel pressure gage into an approved gasoline container. Open the bleed valve on the fuel pressure gage in order to bleed the air from the fuel pressure gage. Command the fuel pump ON with a scan tool. Close the bleed valve on the fuel pressure gage. Command the fuel pump ON with a scan tool. Inspect for fuel leaks.

I do not have a manual at hand and i would be very thankful if you could tell me how to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail. the lines appear to be crimped. thankyou

You need a quick disconnect tool

Fuel pump is definatly shot. filter is severly clogged and even with filter off the pump makes a sound but will not pump any fuel. I am woundering what the procedure is for removing the fuel tank and how hard of a job it is. can I do this without a lift?? Thanks

I need to know how to check the fuel pressure, there does not appear to be a schrader valve anywhere that I can find. So how do I hook a gauge up?
