Two weeks ago I had a new water pump put on the car and also the cooling system flushed and now my temperature gauge is high when the car is idling. Also, I noticed that my defrost is not working properly, my side windows are not defrosting.

What is wrong with my car?

Is the cooling fan coming on? They may have forgot to reconnect it. Check if it is coming on when the car heats up and let me know. AS far as the defroster, is the temp in the vehicle getting hot?

Yes my cooling fan is on, I checked it last night. And all my fluids were full. And I let the car idle for about 15 minutes and the temperature gauge went to the "red" and the check gauges light came on. At that point, the car was not smoking and my uncle bare handed touched the engine, the hoses and the radiator and the engine was not hot. I have no idea why the gauge is rising and I am a little scared to keep driving it. Plus my defrosters do get hot, but my windows do not completely clear as they use to and my side windows no longer defrost.

Please let me know what you think? Thank you.
