2001 Chevy Cavalier lighter doesn't work

I just purchased this car used, and the lighter does not work. I travel frequently and use a GPS that has to be hooked up in there.
Is this something that is difficult and/or expensive to fix?

Check the cigarette lighter fuse-see below if okay inspect the connection behind it could be burned-off or disconnected. Dunno the cost it varies with location
