my daughter's car overheated and I was told it seems there's a blown head gasket. My quick observation is no antifreeze around tailpipe and no anti-freeze mixed in with oil.

Their main concern is the car won't start. I noticed the car will crank over it appears it wants to start, so the engine is not frozen.

My question is will the cars still start with a blown head gasket and is it possible because she overheated the car jumped its timing. Or the distributor is fouled up somehow?

with a cracked head gasket, normally car will still start. with a cracked head, it may or may not start. a cracked head will cause engine to lose a lot of compression, and not enough compression results in a no start situation.
