i just changed my transmission filter on my cavalier. the next day, i start to drive it and it wont shift out of second gear. i would like to know what my be wrong.

yeah its full i have had people tell me it might be a vacuum problem among many other things

it very well could be a vacuum leak, is this the first time the fluid was changed

see if there is andy vacuum lines on the transmission and follow them up and see if they are disconnected. did you replace the transmission filter. was there alot of metal in it. was it acting up before you replaced the fluid

i replaced the filter there was a little bit of metal shavings and it was not acting up before i changed the filter. what would the vacuum line look like.

like a plastic tube or a metal tube that has rubber ends on it. are you 100% sure it is full how did you check it

i started my car and let it run for a couple of minutes and then checked my transmission dipstick. ive done this a multiple of times. where would the vacuum line be attached to the front of the transmission or the back.
