Heater problem
2000 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Automatic 97000 miles

Hello,
My heat and air stopped working on the two lowest levels a few short months ago. This didnt seem like such a big problem until recently when Ive been starting my car this strange noise was happenning, I was first led to believe it was the starter making the noise every few times I started my car after it had been sitting a few days. Then the other day with the weather getting colder I turned on my heat and the same noise was happening except for long periods of times, it almost sounds like its straining my engine somehow and it mostly happens when Im accelerating but stops when Im idling, braking, or turn off the heat/air. Could this be messing up my engine? Do I need to get it fixed as soon as possible?
I appreciate any help anyone can offer me, thank you.

it shouldnt have anything to deal with the engine but if there is something going on with your engine i would have it looked at right away
