what could be the problem if my car overheats and runs out of antifreeze very fast and i cant find a leak

a bad thermostat? a radiator pressure cap on the overflow jug that does not hold pressure. start here.

does your coolant fan come on? does it boil over before the temp gauge goes in the red?
