After driving for a half an hour I am noticing the car jerking when I go from first to second gear. It's an automatic but I notice when I am stopped and hit the gas to start the car jumps and gets very jerky making it pretty much undriveable. I cant check the transmission fluid because there is no disptick but just incase i put some in but nothing changed. The rpms also jump when this problem is going on. Any ideas?

I would take it to a trans shop for a diagnosis, some are free. I would not just take it one place, but 2 or 3.

If it is slipping, you need to get it fixed ASAP, because a slipping trans. is not a good sign.
