um my cavalier has a knocking on the top of the motor it the 2.4 liter twin cam im not sure if it is the oil pump thats not working it dosent have a starting up problem or a running problem im not sure what it is

Hi there,

The first thing to do is get an oil pressure test done, and get a qualified mechanic to listen and advise on this as it will need to be heard to help with the diagnosis.
