1999 Chevy Cavalier Axle Beam removal

I just recently got into an accident and I damaged my axle beam. I was hit on the right right sode rear tire. The hit caused my tire to be pushed slanted like and bent my axle beam. I was told I had to purchase a new one. I got the new part and I been taking all the bolts off, the parking brake cable, and anything else that I needed to do. I just can't seem to remove it? I just wanted to know if there were any tips on how to get it off so I can install the new one. The beam is being held up where it is bolted to the body. Thank you for your time.

Removal Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Remove the rear tire and wheel assemblies. Remove the brake pipe retainer bolts from the rear axle. See Fig. Remove the brake pipe from the brake hose and wheel cylinder. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor harness from the wheel speed sensors. Remove the wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the retainers on the rear axle. Disconnect the park brake cables from the equalizers. Remove the park brake cables from the rear axle. Support the rear axle with suitable jack stands. Remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt (4). See Fig. Remove the rear axle mounting bolts (4), washers (3), and nuts (1). See Fig. Remove the rear axle (2) from the vehicle.

I should have said : my axle beam is stuck. I have already removed all the parts needed to release the beam from the car. Around the two areas that hold the beam to the car will not release the axle from coming off. I just wanted know if anyone had any tips ie, hammer, crowbar, something that can wedge it out without damaging the car?
