My passenger side half shafts lasts less than 1 year. I have replaced the last one with a napa quality part. Why do they keep going bad?

Thanks,
Mark

What is going bad? Is it the CV joint? Inner or outer.

Let me know.

The outer cv joint gets so bad the bearings break down and fall out.

That is odd. How many times has this happened? Is there a chance you got a bad part this one time?

This is the 3rd year in a row. The first two I bought new from Auto Zone and Advance. I thought that buying their junk was the problem so I bought the third one from NAPA.

The only thing I can think of is something is out of alignment or a factory part should be tried. I hate to say it but the parts we get from parts stores anymore are mostly imported and not of the same quality we are used to receiving.

Was the vehicle ever in an accident? Also, have you ever replaced the wheel bearing?

I agree with you but, it don't wear out tires prematurely.

Honestly, a bad CV joint won't cause a tire wear issue.
