Brakes problem
1998 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my brakes went out one day when i was driving in cold winter weather, took it to the dealer they said i needed, senior and motor,, i have brake in the front, but isnt there a cheaper way to repair the abs brakes , instead of repairing the senior or motor , ca i replace the back brake pads a or something else the cydenders,, they want over two thosands to fix it , and it seem like theres another , alternitive to fix my car,, please help iam a single mother on a budget,,,

Shop around, look for an ASE garage and get estimates.
But it depends on what damage was done.

Follow maint. schedule in owners manual, have brakes inspected, belts, hoses etc. every 6 months. Check oil, coolant every week, or gas fill up.
Also if you see a puddle of anything under car, take to shop and get it fixed.

Also if oil light or temp light ever come on, stop the car, do not drive.

Although an additional expense, it could have saved you the cost of this repair.
