I recently had my valve cover gaskets change and had the timing chin replace. since carrying my car to a chevrolet dealer to have the work performed, it's been one problem after another. They bent my fuel injector wire, and did not perform work on a part I wanted them to, the area where you place the oil was leaking but they only applied a sealant, until I carried the car back. the work was performedbut, since that ime, my transmission is leaking. I am not having problem with puttin the car in gear, but oil is leaking. What does the transmission have to do with the timing being changed and what do you think the problem could be? Thanks for helping

The trans has nothing to do with the work that was done. Can you tell where it is leaking from? Is it a hose going to the radiator?

It seems to be coming from the transmission, but I am not having problems with the transmission. Also, how can you tell if a new water pump was put in?

If you look where the belt is on the front of the engine, you can see the water pump. You should be able to tell if it is new. I'm sure it will be much cleaner than the rest of the engine.

As far as the leak, I recommend making sure the trans fluid level is full. If it is low, you need to locate the leak. If it is near the trans, chances are it is the trans pan leaking. It's not that big of a deal. Have the trans serviced with a new filter and they have to replace the pan gasket. However, make sure that is where the leak is coming from.

Let me know if you have other questions.
