1997 Chevy Cavalier cv joint replacement

Hi,

I have to replace the cv joints in my Chevy Cavalier 1997 2.2, any tips

I would spray down the axle nut and balljoint castle nut or lock nut with a good penetrating fluid to help with the removal of these components. Also, pick up a pickle fork so you can easily seperate the lower balljoint. Another tool you might need would be a CV boot clamp plier, however if you have side cutters you can tighten that clamp pretty tight as well.

Besides that, it's a pretty straight forward job, seperate the lower balljoint, remove the outer cv joint from the hub then pry the axle out of the transmission. Goodluck!
