okay so i bought a new engine for my 1997 cavalier it is a 5 speed and 2.4l engine i bought a new clutch because the other one was burnt up. i replaced everything and made sure it was all hooked in right, i even double checked it all. the problem is when i go to shift i have to push the peddle all the way to the floor so far it feels like i and going to push it through and when i try to go in reverse it sounds like the clutch is grinding bad. and suggestions??

Well it sounds like you need to bleed the clutch system. You do this by one of two way's. Either get a helper to push the clutch pedal as you release the bleeder. You open the bleeder your helper pushes the clutch pedal down, when down you close the bleeder after the bleeder is closed your helper releases the pedal and you repeat this till there is no air while keeping the clutch master full with brake fluid. The other way is to get a clear hose to put over the bleeder and get a container that you can put brake fluid in and you open the bleeder then you press and release the pedal untill there is no bubbles going into the container then close the bleeder and see how it shifts then.
