My 1997 Cavalier with a 2.2 automatic transmision has a hard time shifting into 3rd gear. It is full of fresh fluid and has had a the filter replaced in December 2006.
I was told it is a tranny celenoid. Is it easy to replace?
Also, when sitting all night if I don't let the car warm up for 3-5 minutes it doesn't go into Drive right away. Reverse is fine, but it will go into Drive slowly. It only does this first thing in the morning. After wards it is fine.
It has 174k miles.
Are these two problems related?
