1997 cavalier 2.2 L RALLY SPORT cruise control not working

try looking at the cable under the hood. find the cruse box that the cable hooks too there are four torx screws that hold the cap on it pull that off look at end of cable to make sure it is not broke, check the circuit board in the same place. check to see if it is damaged. check you brake light switch it is what cancles the cruse if it is bad it could be the cause two parts to that switch.one for brake and one for cruse. the cruse module is mounted under the dash next to the heater box on passenger side of car i belive it is a ligh blue or teal color. that is all i can tell you about the cruse system except there good when there working and they suck when they don't good luck
