My Cavalier is older and high mileage and I don't want to put much money in it so I try to fix it myself. Recently with the hot humid weather it has been running really bad. Suddenly it wants to stall every once in a while and while driving its really jerky and getting progressively worse. The check engine and ETS light have been coming on and going off. I finnaly took it in and got the codes read. It was p0341 for cam position sensor and p0335 crank position sensor. I find it wierd that both of these are coming up as a fault at the same time. Am I crazy to think that its the ignition module thats bad???? today its cooler and drier. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and the check engine and ets lights are gone. It ran fine and I drove it around for 10 minutes with no issues. I have noticed I have more problems when its hot and humid or raining. Is this an open and shut case for a bad ignition module?

Modules will either not work at all or they will work until engine gets hot, then fail, after engine cools they will start again until engine heats up.

Some autoparts stores can test them (off car).
