69000 miles, 2.2L, AT, 1996 chevy cav.
I just got four new tires, brakes and rotors, transmission flushed and coolant flushed, and added a new stereo system. After doing all of this, I noticed a loud rattling noise coming from the right side of the car under the hood. The check engine light and battery light are also on. Also, the heat only works on the 4th level and the ac light doesn't go off. If you turn the fan on, the sound seems to go away but then as soon as you open the door, it's loud again.
The people who installed my stereo said the alternator is about to go, what do you think it could be?
