I'm having problems getting this car to start. The lights, horn and other electrical components operate correctly but when I turn the key, nothing...the engine doesn't turn over, nothing happens. The battery is new.

Starter? starter relay?

Thanks

When you say it has trouble what kind? Clicking? or nothing at all? If you hear a click, then either the battery is weak, or the starter, possibly bad battery cable connections, check and clean both ends of BOTH cables! Dissconnect negative(-) first, and put it on last! If no click the starter relay is no good!

No click at all, nothing happens.

If it's the starter relay, where is that thing located? I'm an old school guy, built many hotrod's in my time but with all the plumbing and mess on this car, I can't find it.

Gimme the old Fords when they were mounted on the fender or the early Chevy's when they were mounted on the old two bolt starters...sigh.

I REALLY hope it's not mounted on the starter.

Does your car have the security system Passlock? If it does there is a starter enable relay, I don't know where it is, but usually it's behind the glove box...Try starting the car in neautral the neutral switch might be gone. Here is the troubleshooting steps you need.
