Electrical problem
1992 Chevy Cavalier 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

the other day i was replacing my heater fan and i accidentally switched the plugs when hooking it back up, when i tried to start the car there was a pop near the radiator and some smoke billowed out. Now there is no power to the car. the lights turn on but no radio, fan, and most of all the car won't do so much as turn over. got any idea as to what happened?

You popped a fuse or fuseable link. Check all the fuses in the engine compartment fuse box. Also check the base of the fusebox for blackened areas.

You can buy a fuse tester from most autoparts stores for $10 or so.
