I am getting code 171, lean trim bank one. I have a 1997 Cavalier 2.2L.
I have changed the number one O2 sensor and also put in a fuel pressure regulator. I still get the code. I'm wondering if the oil pressure switch can be part of my problem seeing that when I pulled the fuel pump relay, the car immediately died out. Also when the map sensor is disconnected when the car is running, the car dies out.
The car seems to operate well at highway speed, so I question whether the fuel pump is really bad.
Thanks! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If it has a Mass Airflow Meter I would try that, otherwise there might be a vaccum leak

Thanks for the suggestion, but the 97 Cavalier doesn't have a mass air flow sensor and I've already checked for a vacuum leak by probing vacuum areas of the car with propane gas.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks
