We have a 1993 Chevy Caprice Classic with the 5.7 liter engine.
It haves about 124,000 miles on it
It has an intermitent stalling problem, sometimes it will stall after starting and or at take off, but usually works fine after we get moving, although it has happened when we come to a light.
I've replaced the Throttle sensor, the Idle Air Control Valve, the fuel filter and put new plugs, rotor and cap on it.
I was going to check the timing, but the book says to disable the electronic spark timing system first, but I'm not sure how to do that.

I have a 1992 caprice that was doing the same thing. I too replaced my IAC valve, ran diagnostics, etc but to no avail. I then ran a vaccuum test on the EGR valve, although it was holding vaccuum, it was opening up too soon. The spring had gotten weak on the inside. You can test this by unplugging your EGR valve, and placing a small screw or bolt in the EGR vaccuum hose, or tape if its a hard plastic line, like mine was. If the car drives fine at that point. Replace your EGR valve. I did this test and replaced my EGR and no problems since then. I hope this helps Good Luck

Thank you for replying to my posting,
We found out that the problem was the fuel pump and replacing it fixed the problem. Thanks for letting me know about your car's fix, it's good to have the information for furture use if needed.
