Acceptable front wheel bearing surface wear

I have a 1995 Caprice wagon with 120K miles, auto trans,lt1 engine. I wanted to repack the front wheel bearings and I removed the rotor from the RH spindle. I noticed a small area on the outer bearing wear area that looks like rust pits and is rough enough to catch your fingernail on. Is this within acceptable wear limits? What are the acceptable wear limitations on the spindle bearing area? Thanks alot for your input.
