when fitting hose assembly to the back of the compressor i have metal washers with rubber inside them how many do i put on each side to get it to sit flush with the back of the compressor?

The two lines are connected together. in the center there is a hole for the bolt. Align the hoses up and then tighten the bolt drawing them up tight.
