Was running good then began to almost stall from 0 to go. Pep boys did a diag and said "tune up". I (myself) replaced dist., plugs, wires (all but three, hard to get to - ends looked fine) water pump, thermostat, coil, EGR valve, obvious vacuum hoses. Doesn't stall from 0 to go but idles very badly and now runs hotter and overheats at stop lights. It did not overheat at any time before the "tune up". Runs pretty well at highway speeds and doesn't register hot.

Make sure the plug wires are replaced in the correct positions. Also, is the cooling fan running. If not, that will cause it to overheat when stopped.
