Computer problem
1989 Chevy Caprice 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I changed engine from v8 to 4.3 v6 Will the computer from v8 run the v6 the engine? It runs but cant get the idle right no matter what I do-

you should really get a computer form a V-6 because the current one will think it's a V8 and won't work right. But check your throttle body gasket as they used to blow alot and cause vacuum leaks. Also the hose going to the map sensor gets soft and sucks together.
