I have an 1988 Chevy camaro 5.0L it runs good for about 45 minutes then dies . it will start but only if you give it gas . as soon as you let off on the gas it dies . if you slowly back off on the gas it will stay running until the tack goes below 1500 . then it runs really ruff for a few seconds the tack will jump up and down from 0 to 1000 then die . if you let it cool of for an hour it will start back up normally till it gets hot again . you can smell gas . it seems like its getting to much gas when idling and chocking it self out . it has throttle body fuel injectors . it has 194000 miles on it .automatic trans . the fuel pump is only 5 years old . gave it a tune up 2 years ago . replaced one of the two fuel injectors last year . coils has been replaced once about 8 years ago . I just have checked for vacuum leaks and replaced a T where 3 vacuum lines come together that was leaking . couldn't find any other leaks .
