lower control arm right side

i have a 1995 z28 with a l s1 motor i am having troble getting the lower control arm off .do you put the fork under the control arm or above it , know matter how hard i hit it it will not break lose . am i doing something wrong

Do you mean you can't break the ball joint? Make sure you hav a ball joint fork, not a tie rod fork, two different sizes! What exactly are you trying to do?
