Just replaced the switch on my '85 Camaro. After it cranked a couple of times flawlessly, the rod broke loose from the lock. I can't figure out how to remove the innards from the steering column to get to the tumbler set. Got the steering wheel off, but there's a gear-like plate under it that won't come off. Can ya help a brother out?
