this car is running around 1,000 HP to the rear, has a vortec supercharger, is a 1969, and a stock steering set-up
every once in a while after driving and the engine heating up to around 220, the power steering fluid sprays out the cap. I believe the fluid is boiling.
The lines run next to the engine block (steel braded), and the pump is located under the blower (which gets hot), should I drain the power steering fluid and run trans fluid?
I was considering a fluid cooler like on a transmission.

by the way, not my car, I just work on it!!!
Mine is the nova in the background.

Thanks for your help[img:028e53efd7]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/101580_cars_024_1.jpg[/img:028e53efd7]

My opinion is get the cooler, run it in front of the radiator, 220 is hot even for a 502! I don't think changing fluid will help...both are 10 wt oils..
