Electrical problem
2002 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My 2002 camaro has a couple of issues that i think are related.
It sometimes will wind over but not start - maybe 3-4 time will then run fine.
if i change the fuel pump relay it start imediatly.
I am thinking that the fuel pump pick up maybe restriced causing the pump to draw too much current burning out the relay, or the pump is just faulty causing this issue.
This has happend a number of times.
I would like to be sure that i am getting the right parts and doing the righ thing to fix the issue as I have to import all my camaro parts to New Zealand.
Can you assist with this issue and do i have to remove the tank to access or replace the fuel pump?

Have you checked the connections where the relay plugs in? Also, when it doesn't start, have you checked to see if there is fuel pump pressure to the engine?

There is no fuel pressure when this fault occurs.
The fun of intermittant fualt finding.
there was nothing visible at the relay connections - but i will check them in more detail

It sounds like a bad relay.

If the relay is good, then check to make sure the connectors are good.
