2002 Chevy Camaro engine overheating

my car keeps overheating. and i have coolant leaking right underneath the air intake. could a faulty thermostat cause enough pressure to build-up and blow the head gasket? there is also a sensor in this area. icant pinpoint wether its coming from the gasket or the sensor. also there does not seem to be any coolant in the radiator when i check it cold. would removing the thermostat help the situation temporarily?

It wouldnt hurt to remove the thermostat although I doubt it would stop the leak. If your sure its not a head gasket, check all your hoses and heater core. Check the passenger side floor board for coolant. If theres any there, you have a bad heater core. If not check the hoses and locate that sensor. Running hot can cause alot of future problems not to mention severe damage. If you have any problems repost here and we'll get it figured out. Good luck :)
