I drive a 3.8L v6 base model. It's been pretty reliable but I recently noticed that the engine seems to be loaping in a cyclical pattern at all times. When it is accelerating, I'll get pulses in power delivery that feels like maybe the fueling is off. I thought it might be the harmonic balancer and noticed wear on my serpentine belt. Replaced that. Then I realized that that really just seems to drive the alt and AC so doubt it is the problem. Problem seemingly lessened but persists. Timing belt was changed at 50,000 and not since then. Suspect timing belt. Sparkplugs and wires replaced at the 100k point due to misfiring prompting a "service engine soon" (aka CHECK ENGINE WARN LIGHT). I'd think it might be a PCV failure but my mechanic buddy tells me it doesn't have a PCV. HELP! Thanks
