1998 Chevy Camaro valves or lifter ticking

hi i have a 1998 camaro and i bought it about a year ago and i have recently have noticed a ticking sound coming from the engine (it sounds like its coming from the valves). Also the engine light came on for a day or two and then went away. the oil dumby light has not come on yet. but the oil pressure gauge is about 1/4 of the way up (inbetween 60 and 0). the ticking goes away after a few minutes of driveing. what could this be caused by and is there a way of fixing it. so thanks a head of time for helping.
