1998 Chevy Camaro Shifting - Clutch or Transmission?

The initial issue occurred as the clutch pedal went to the floor and would not disengage (according to my wife as I was out of town). The 1998 Camaro Z28 - 6 speed manual was towed and the clutch master cylinder was repaired. During my first test drive upon my return, I noticed the shifting was not as smooth - particularly from 2nd to 3rd and then 5th to 6th. When the car is at a full stop and the clutch engaged, it will not shift at all from 2nd to 3rd nor 5th to 6th. It is drivable if you are cautious but I need to get to the root problem and have it repaired properly. This car is not driven hard. The EGR valve was also replaced with the master cylinder as I had been putting this off over the last 5,000 miles.

Any help with potential areas to diagnose or suggestions to repair would be appreciated.

Sounds like the clitch may be dragging just a little. At an idle, in neutral and clutch out. Pushing the clutch in, how does it shift into 1st? please advise.

After just returning from a drive, at idle, with the clutch in, shifts easily into 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th gears. It will not shift at all into either 3rd or 6th with the clutch in idle. While driving for over 30 miles, the car shifted into all gears; however, on one occurrence while downshifting from 3rd to 2nd it popped out of 2nd after the clutch was fully disengaged and as I engaged the clutch to put back into 2nd, the gears "grinded slightly" at which time I came to almost a complete stop to shift into 1st I am still at a loss as to if the problem is with the clutch or transmission. Any additional comments?

Judging from your last post, I don't believe it's a clutch problem. I'm thinking now more towards a bent fork or two in the transmission itself. If the timing between coming out of one gear and going into the next isn't perfect, the shifter will feel like it "hangs up" a little bit between gears. Not knowing what happened when the clutch failed, but if your wife paniced a little and forced the shifter in nuetral under a load, it could have bent something in the shifter. Let me know what you find.
