1995 Chevy Camaro help please

I need help i am dropping transmission with basic tools in a garage myself because i cannot afford to put my vehicle in a shop i have 2 bellhousing to engine bolts remaining i have taken the crossmember and rear torque arm off i have tried loosening the subframe connectors but have been unable so far to get the ones closest to the front wheels on either side i have noticed that there is a small hole on the drivers side floorboard all the way up behind the gas pedal though it is unnoticeable on the inside of the vehicle i think thats how someone did it previously please if you have any suggestions i need them asap i am working on a timeframe and the person wants my car out today and that just depends on me getting these 2 bellhousing bolts thanks

You can pull the entire motor/transmission assembly. The remove the trans, bolt on the new one and reinstall.

You cannot pull the entire motor/transmission out with "basic tools". You need an engine hoist or something similar to remove the transmission in this manner...
daveblaze - being that you probably do not have access to an engine hoist and you are working off a floor -- try lifting the transmission up a little (with a transmission jack). This will take some "pressure off" and allow you to remove those bolts a little easier. I do not suggest lifting the transmission by the pan - that's a big no no...get a transmission jack or an attatchment that will fit on a floor jack for transmission removal......

daveyblaze, by the wording of your question, it sounds as though you're having trouble "Accessing" the two bolts you refer to, and not that they won't loosen.

And you can very easily remove a Engine/Transmission with the same basic hand tools you've been using. AutoZone or any other major parts store will gladly rent an engine hoist to you for 30 bucks, long enough for you to pluck a engine/tranny.

And it's also easy to use a jack to prop up your tranny. But if you're having trouble gaining access to the bolt holes, this won't help in the least.

And if you pluck the entire engine/transmission, it'll be much easier to get the new trans bolted to the engine. (In the tight space of a Camaro under body, it's sometimes hell getting a trans mated to an engine)
