1993 Chevy Camaro rotation

Tires and Wheels problem
1993 Chevy Camaro V8 Automatic

went to have tires rotated, shop says I gotta pay $60.00 because the tires need to be removed from rims !! What's this all about?

Hi there,

All they have to do is swap the wheels front to back, and do a balance as well, go find a shop that will do this.

the shop says the rims will not fit back to front. Is there some kind of offset or ????

OK, if this is the case then the tyres will have to be removed to do the rotation, not a very good idea is it!

Thank you very much. I was just wondering if it is the car itself or the rims, I don't really understand, and , no it really isn't a good idea. Tires cost enough as it is, and to have to pay to rotate, is ridiculous. And I am not getting the mileage out of the tires I buy, not by half. Maybe I need to go somewhere else besides Les Schwab!!!! Well thank you for your time.

As am in Australia, and we don't have many Chevy camaro's down here, i am not that sure my self, i would think that it is a mod, as you would not expect this on a factory spec car.... but stranger things have happened, the tyre retailer will be able to answer this for you, Good luck and thank you for using 2carpros.....
